El Camino

perhaps a decent UK alternative might be a Subaru pick up, my uncle had an old green one on a farm - ran everywhere for about a million miles.

Yeah, we had the Ford P100 but not until what? The mid-80s? Can you imagine what we had in 1967? Some sort of toytown baker's van with the back chopped open. Another world indeed.
